Horse Island Lighthouse
This light stood on Horse Island just off shore from Sackett's Harbour, New York. It was a project which I enjoyed working on as it was more than just a simple build, what with incorperating the light with thought given to the ability to replace both worn out bulbs and also batteries without this tarnishing the look of the finished product.

It looks fantastic. Do you have info on when it was built? What gaming plans do you have for the model?
ReplyDeleteI have a hunch that it dates to mid 19th century although it does appear in Lossing's Field Book of the War of 1812.
ReplyDeleteAs far as gaming goes, it does feature in some 1812 games but thats about it really. It was just something I saw and had a need to build.
Wow, that's gorgeous. I look forward to seeing more.
